Jimmy Huddle, an Australian man who was flying between Melbourne and Newcastle received quite the shock when he came to collect his boards. When he landed even though he had protected his boards with a surfboard bag, he still opened it up to find that his boards were broken.
On a TikTok post he said “So this is what you get when you travel from Melbourne on Qantas these days.”

Airline Qantas Damage Mans Three Boards

Looking at the damage done to the bag Jimmy Huddle co-founder of twoboysbrew.com.au says “I looked at the bag, there’s the telltale sign there.”
Looking more closely at his surfboard bag, Huddle shows white scuff marks across the nose of the bag.
“A vehicle has obviously run over the board bag,” he reported.
“Because there’s no other way that kind of damage could have happened.”
“We are urgently reviewing CCTV and working with our ground handling contractors to find out what has happened,” a spokesperson for the airline said. (https://7news.com.au/)
